OneROC and the Regional Revitalization Partnership are excited to announce an RFP opportunity for a Local Project Administrator to support the continued growth and vitality of West Main Street’s business corridor. This project will provide funding for building renovations to enhance neighborhood-serving businesses—such as retail, restaurants, and local services—and increase mixed-use potential along West Main between Broad Street and Genesee Street. The selected LPA will work closely with community partners to support sustainable development and grow the area’s commercial activity. We were honored to host U.S. Economic Development Administration and U.S. Department of Commerce's Acting Assistant Secretary for Economic Development Cristina Killingsworth, Jacob Wildfire, and Lucas Martin in #Rochester this week to visit the NY SMART I-Corridor #TechHub. Visits to Monroe Community College, University of Rochester The Institute Of Optics, @AIMPhotonics, Optimax Systems, Inc., and Rochester Institute of Technology showed how our region is poised to lead the way in advancing #semiconductor supply chain, commercialization and workforce to enhance national security and economic growth. By 2033, one in four domestically-made semiconductor chips will be produced within 350 miles of the NY SMART I-Corridor, the densest network of production in North America. In partnership with Senator Charles E Schumer, Representative Joe Morelle, Empire State Development and our regional consortium, we are ready to deliver. Thanks to our leadership partners at Buffalo Niagara Partnership and CenterState CEO for helping shepherd this nationally-unique coalition.
