My two favorite AI Overview trackers so far are: 1?? ZipTie.dev has the most detailed data. If a page is ranking on AI Overviews, if AIO loads automatically vs generate button, if a domain is listed and result type (video, list, shopping, map, etc). Nice UX and detailed results. 2?? SE Ranking tracks AIO as part of their core keyword tracking functionality, so if you already use them, you can spot if all your tracked keywords trigger AIO or not. It doesn't give details like ZipTie yet, but you quickly glance at scale without adding a new tool to your stack. This is a beta version, AFAIK you'd have to ask to be turned on at this point. Ps: Last I heard, SE Ranking is using Google Labs but I'll re-confirm. As my colleague Taylor Hornberger spotted last week, 81% of the time the tools match AIO existing or not, but you'll still have differences.

We analyzed 4M+ queries since June 2023, built a SaaS (ZipTie.dev) that will soon be able to optimize your content for Google AI overviews. We wrote 20+ articles, wrote research studies, run webinars, podcast, workshops and worked with some of the largest brands on the planet to align them towards this change. This was my craziest year so far and honestly one that allowed me to grow and expand my vision outside of the Technical SEO bubble. Last year was very intense for both me and my company. Everything started when I was sitting at the airport, waiting for my flight ??, when Bart called to inform me that SGE had been enabled for one of our accounts. Immediately, I began checking numerous queries manually ?? to see how it looked. Shortly after, we noticed a significant movement of people testing SGE. However, there was a huge risk that people's enthusiasm would wane, or Google would decide that SGE was a failure ??. My and other co-founders at ZipTie.dev, Bart and Sebastian, had a very tough decision to make. ?? Should we focus on the current features of ZipTie, or should we invest our time in SGE, something that may or may not be implemented? It was a significant uncertainty. ? We had a gut feeling that SGE would be implemented, so we started building our product to help people monitor their SGE performance. ?? We had the first tool to track AI Overviews in the market. ?? Two days ago, I was sitting at an SEO barcamp, waiting for my AMA session, when I got another message from Bartosz: "I’m 100% sure SGE will be announced today." ?? He was right; SGE was announced later that day ??. Google named it: "AI Overviews". It’s not time to open the champagne ?? just yet. I am aware that we’re only halfway through. I know it’s going to be a challenging time for both me and my team, as well as the whole industry. We have a ton of ideas for features that will help people monitor their SGE success. ??
