This was an inspiring group of arts leaders! We were happy to talk about the importance of performance in our public spaces via partnerships with Friends of Congress Square Park (thanks, C.J. Opperthauser!).
The 5th biennial Arts & Culture Summit attracted over 200 participants throughout the day for a report card, discussion, updates, networking, inspiration and commoning. So proud of the arts sector’s impact on the Maine economy. We’ve got the numbers to show it! Feeling happily exhausted after a day of connecting with kindred spirits. Looking forward to connecting and sharing our sector’s impactful work with the private sector and of course with city and state partners. What a joy to be part of an arts community that cares so much about each other. Did you know that 95% of Portland’s cultural leaders are women? No wonder it felt like such a nurturing crowd! Thank you all for participating!! Elizabeth Jones Aimée M.
