Happy Recovery Anniversary Jamie! Jamie Gasser, CRPS, Housing Peer Supporter Recovery Annivesary, 7 Years! “And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.” ― Haruki Murakami

🌟 Celebrating Volunteer Appreciation Month! 🌟 April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we want to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the incredible volunteers who make a difference in our community. Your selfless dedication and unwavering support are truly inspiring. 💖 𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙬𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙃𝙤𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨! Our volunteers respond to Wooster Community Hospital or Aultman Orrville whenever requested during their on-call shifts or in emergencies. They ensure timely support by arriving within 45 minutes of the initial hotline request for sexual assault support. They work closely with the Victim Advocate or Volunteer Coordinator to schedule shifts for the upcoming month. Your commitment to being there for survivors during their most vulnerable moments is truly inspiring. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲? April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a time designed to bring awareness to an issue that often remains veiled in silence. At OneEighty, we’re dedicated to breaking that silence and providing crucial support to sexual assault survivors. To shine a light on the complex reasons why victims of sexual violence hesitate to come forward, we interviewed Kate Abruzzino, Victim Advocacy and Outreach Manager, and Crystin Troyer, Victim Advocate and Outreach Specialist at OneEighty. https://lnkd.in/e3E3SdTQ You are not alone. We believe you. Call 330-264-8498 or 1-800-686-1122 and ask to speak to victim advocate.

🌱 Community Spotlight 🌱 In spring 2021, Eric Snider, a local Boy Scout, built raised garden beds for the Women's Residential Treatment Center as his Eagle Service Project. This month, Riverview Industrial Wood Products generously donated oak wood and replaced the worn beds with brand-new ones. Gardening is a therapeutic hobby for our clients, aiding in their recovery journey. Thank you, Eric and Riverview Team, for your incredible support! 🌟 We like to thank the following individuals at Riverview Industrial Wood Products for making this project happen; Michael Meenan, President, Daniel Lorson, General Manager, Chris Meenan, Account Manager and Christine Schneider, Sales Representative.
