“I don’t care what somebody in the White House says. You’ve got to take care of your employees. We have to put people first.” We’re seeing a lot of organizations right now moving away from DEI efforts, ending participation in Pride parades and funding related nonprofits. But these efforts were largely performative anyways. Hear from co-hosts of Inclusive AF, Katee Van Horn and Jackye Clayton on the Better Together Arizona podcast on how businesses are navigating DEI and merit in today’s workplace: https://lnkd.in/gm4PUzDC #BetterTogetherAZ #BetterTogetherArizona #LGBTQPodcasts #DEI #DEIMeaning #WhatIsDEI #DEIInTheWorkplace

“There are 530,000 collegiate athletes in the United States…and I think less than 10 are transgender.” It’s important to look at the numbers. ?? There is a political narrative in our country right now that makes it easy to lose logic and perspective. When you actually talk to women who play sports–who have played sports in K-12, college, and professional sports–[transgender athletes] are not a concern that is top of mind. They want to talk about fairness, pay equity, and appropriate facilities. They want to talk about a real investment in women’s sports. Transgender people being included in sports is not a top issue. Learn more about the future of transgender athletes in collegiate sports and more repercussions from Trump-era LGBTQ+ policies on the latest episode of the Better Together Arizona podcast with President of Equality Arizona, Michael Soto: https://lnkd.in/gZdBgG9x #BetterTogetherAZ #BetterTogetherArizona #LGBTQPodcasts #TrumpLGBTQPolicies #TrumpLGBTQRights #TransgenderAthletes #NCAATransgenderAthletes

Tune in to the latest episode of the Better Together Arizona podcast to hear from three leaders in the Arizona Black Community: Teniqua Broughton, Matthew Whitaker, Ph.D., and Dr. Velma Trayham. On the topic of DEI and recent attacks: “DEI is merit-based, and most of the folks who are accusing it of not being merit-based got where they are not because of merit. This President’s Day, we reflect on the progress we’ve made and the work still ahead in the fight for equality. Throughout history, LGBTQ+ voices have shaped our nation, and we continue to advocate for a future where everyone is free to live authentically. Let’s honor the leaders—past, present, and future—who stand for justice, inclusion, and love. Equality isn’t partisan—it’s patriotic. ???? ? #PresidentsDay
