"Lunar New Year has always been an important holiday to me growing up due to my close nature with my grandma! Every year I recall putting on my finest outfit since I was little to go to temple with my family. When I was younger the biggest excitement was receiving the red envelopes filled with cash, candy or a surprise. As I got older the red envelopes no longer existed and it was my turn to give them out. Growing up in a small family Chinese New Year felt like the one time we truly centered together. My grandma passed in 2023 unfortunately but, I make a large effort to spend time with my parents and friends to celebrate. When it’s New Year’s Day it feels like her spirit is still around when I’m celebrating. This year I’m wishing for a fresh start and prosperity in my everyday life. This holiday season, ONE/SIZE hosted a truly magical event: a ONE/SIZE Magical Toy Drive in partnership with the incredible charity,?Beauty 2 the Streetz. Together, we aimed to bring smiles, joy, and love to children in need by encouraging attendees to bring a new, unwrapped toy.??? ? About Beauty 2 the Streetz: Founded by the inspiring Shirley Raines, Beauty 2 the Streetz is a transformative organization that serves the unhoused community in Los Angeles, providing essential items, beauty services, and, most importantly, dignity and hope. Shirley's mission goes beyond service—she builds connections and uplifts individuals who often feel unseen. Through this partnership, we were honored to support her incredible vision while making the holidays brighter for families in need. ? Event Highlights: Guests showed up in full force with their hearts (and hands) full of toys for the drive. The generous donations will bring smiles to countless children this holiday season! The energy of the event was unmatched—full of festive joy, meaningful connections, and holiday cheer.
