One day is not enough to visit all of the wonderful stores and restaurants that are part of this year's Small Business Passport Program for Arlington/Falls Church, so it's Saturday AND Sunday! With over 20 local establishments taking part, we're adding an extra day so you have time to visit and enjoy them without having to rush around. More details to come but so far here's the lineup: Action Music; Audacious Aleworks; Ayers Variety & Hardware; Blossom & Buds; Botanologica, Cafe Kindred, Covet; Doodlehopper 4 Kids; Italian Store; Lemon Lane Consignment; La Cote D'or; One More Page Books & More (of course!); Preservation Biscuit; Rare Bird Coffee Roasters; Stylish Patina; TINT; Trade Roots; Two the Moon; The Urban Farmhouse and Victory Comics.

We're looking forward to partnering with Audacious Aleworks in Fairfax on Wed, Sept 25 from 5:30 - 8PM for a Fall Boozy Book Fair! A rustle of leaves? A pumpkin in your beer? It's Fall! Join us for a pint and browse some fun books, along with stickers, games, and other gifts. You deserve a little treat! (P.S. the electricity should be on and it won't be 900 degrees like last time). We love partnering with Audacious Aleworks!

THANK YOU to the passionate and enthusiastic folks who came for Get Out The Vote postcard writing! We ran out of chairs and addresses before we ran out of postcard writing volunteers. You are so inspiring (and have such good penmanship). Eileen had to buy more stamps for the over 400 (!) postcards everyone wrote. And to generous volunteer who came totally prepared with extra postcards and stamps - big thanks!

Thank you Arlington Public Library for inviting us to be part of your events with librarian, educator and author Alice Faye Duncan on the true story of OPAL LEE AND WHAT IT MEANS TO BE FREE about the grandmother of Juneteenth. She wowed an audience of young readers on Monday night at the Shirlington branch of the Library and kept up the energy doing the keynote at at Tuesday's Juneteenth activities in partnership with Arlington County's Black Employee Council at Jennie Dean Park. It was HOT, she had a broken foot, but she was on fire! An inspiration.

A table full of booksellers + a table full of completed bookstore crawl passports + overflowing prize basket! So many customers visited 10 or more bookstores in VA MD and WV in May and told us how much they loved taking field trips with friends to visit stores far afield and finding other fantastic local stores nearby. Thanks, Leah from Birch Tree Books for getting the ball rolling on this. Even though May is over Eileen’s still going to the 4 stores left on her passport - next week it's Winchester Book Gallery and Word Play (Wardensville, WV) and Lelia Nebeker is going with her!

Thank you to Christopher Jones of Falls Church Independent for such a wonderful article about OMP! We love working with neighboring businesses to create fun events for the community, like the Boozy Book Fairs with Audacious Aleworks and awesome author events with Arlington Public Library.
