Leadership Announcement: David Murphy’s Legacy and Our Future We are immensely grateful to David Murphy, who recently stepped down as CEO after four years of transformative leadership with One Heart Worldwide. David’s steady guidance has been instrumental in helping One Heart Worldwide reach over 1.5 million mothers and newborns and navigating pivotal transitions that strengthened our mission. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors! As we look forward, we’re excited to welcome our interim co-CEOs, Dr. Sibylle Kristensen and Mr Surya Bhatta, who have over 30 years of combined experience at One Heart. Dr. Kristensen has served as OHW’s Chief Operating Officer since 2010, and Mr. Surya Bhatta has served as OHW’s Executive Director since 2019. Their shared vision and complementary expertise embody our commitment to diverse and local leadership. This team is perfectly positioned to guide us as we set our sights on tripling our impact in Nepal to reach 3.8 million mothers and newborns by 2028, ensuring access to quality maternal and newborn healthcare for all. Dr. Iftikher Mahmood, founder of EMC’s grantee partner HOPE Foundation for Women & Children of Bangladesh underscored the importance of health access for all at #CGI2024. 3?? Christy Turlington Burns joined women’s health leaders at the World Economic Forum’s Champions Meeting of the Global Alliance for Women’s Health. 4?? Christy Turlington Burns was delighted to participate in an important conversation about maternal health at a #CGI2024 roundtable with fellow advocates, including Jennifer Siebel Newsome and Angelina Spicer. 5?? We were thrilled to welcome grantee partners and other friends to our office for an UNGA week open house! Rose Tobiassen, of Foundation for African Medicine and Education (FAME) and David Murphy of One Heart Worldwide were among our guests! 6?? We also welcomed Wendo Aszed, founder & executive director of our grantee partner Dandelion Africa, at our office.
