ADEPT Live Labs 2 Decarbonising Local Roads in the UK is a three-year, UK-wide ￡30 million programme funded by the Department for Transport that aims to decarbonise the local highway network. We’ve embarked on a pioneering journey to support the sector’s transition to net zero, working through robust, evidenced carbon evaluations in a live testing environment. Through the @ADEPT Live Labs 2 programme, funded by the @Department for Transport, we have developed a trusted, repeatable trial methodology to accurately measure the whole lifecycle carbon of different pothole and patch repair materials, in turn enabling other local authorities to identify and share best practice to decarbonise this critical part of highways services.
