15 Years Ago… 15 years ago, an incredible woman came into my home and changed my life. As a single mom, overwhelmed and trying to do my best, she showed up with gifts for my boys and a simple gesture that meant everything—she sat with me, shared a cup of hot chocolate, and gave me something I desperately needed: hope, love, and encouragement. That moment stayed with me forever. Fast forward to today… Now, I have the honor to be on the other side—giving back to single-parent households and their children through the inspiring work of @One City This is what my house looks like right now as we prepare for our gift distribution happening Friday, December 20th. Every bag, every box, every detail is filled with love and intention. To the single parents out there, I see you. One City is a nonprofit empowering single-parent households and low-income families to overcome hardship and create generational impact. Through One Heart: Holiday Hope, we’re helping families thrive by providing the resources and support they need to succeed. We’ve adopted a family, but 20 families still need to be sponsored.
