Premier provider of nationally accredited certification for nurses in oncology and related specialties.
关于我们
ONCC was founded in 1984 as a non-profit organization. It is governed by a Board of Directors who represent various levels of certification in oncology nursing and the public at large. ONCC administered its first certification examination, the Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN?) examination in 1986. Today, ONCC offers eight credential programs. More than 38,000 nurses are currently certified by ONCC. All ONCC certification examinations are accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies. NCCA is an independent organization that has identified the essential components of a national certification program and determines if certification organizations meet established standards based on those components. These standards are nationally recognized principles utilized by a variety of certification organizations for certification programs in diverse professions. Accreditation by the NCCA indicates that ONCC programs have been evaluated by the Commission and found to meet or exceed all of its established standards.

Certified Nurses Day is under a month away! On March 19, we celebrate all certified nurses and their contribution to healthcare teams all around the world. March 19 is a special day in the field of nursing certification, as it is the birthday of Dr. Margretta "Gretta" Madden Styles, RN, EdD, FAAN. She recognized the importance of credentialing and architected the first comprehensive study of nurse credentialing in the 1970s. She was also instrumental to the creation of nursing regulations through the International Council of Nurses and was a driving force behind the creation of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Due in part to the dedicated work of Dr. Styles and the associations she helped pioneer, ONCC is now able to offer certifications across numerous oncology specialties. With over 40,000 certified oncology nurses, we are honored to carry on the work of Dr. Styles in oncology nursing.
