It's National Adoption Awareness Month, and there's a link below with a brief history of NAAM; how Rosita González of Lost Daughters created the #flipthescript movement, the catalyst for adoptee and birthparent voices to enter the adoption conversation, their voices silenced no longer. This month for NAAM, we want to use our platform to amplify those voices - it's something we believe so strongly in that we created Activism in Adoption, an entire educational platform to do just that - but there are still so many voices and perspectives that need to be heard, and we'd like to support them here. https://lnkd.in/gKR3-xjt Join us this month as we listen and learn, because when we listen to the individuals whose lives are most impacted by adoption and when we allow ourselves to sit in uncomfortable spaces, we learn and we grow and we become the change-makers - improving outcomes in adoption for adopted people and birthparents.

Today is Adoptee Remembrance Day, and today we are holding space for adopted people; for those lost to suicide, for those who have suffered from abuse or neglect, and for those whose adoption trauma and loss leaves them struggling, often in silence.
