There is no better way to celebrate Brain Injury Awareness Month than by coming together to advocate for rights! Last week persons served and staff members from On With Life's inpatient, long-term care and residential neuro rehabilitation programs gathered at the capital for Brain Injury and Stroke Awareness Day on the Hill. A few individuals even had the opportunity to speak with their representatives! Every voice makes a difference, and we were thrilled to have such a great presence at last week's event.

We had a great opportunity to share more about On With Life with a large group of kiddos at the Mitchellville Elementary School Health Fair last month. Thank you to On With Life's training and development leader, Kim Reed, and board member Mark Dearden for taking the time to participate in this exciting day!

On With Life and the Brain Injury Alliance of Iowa collectively shared their expertise at the 2025 International Stroke Conference in Los Angeles last month! Dan Logan and Allison Andrews were able to chat with conference attendees about their poster, "Service Navigation for Individuals with Stroke Proactively Referred to Neuro Resource Facilitation at Discharge from Inpatient Rehabilitation," which then ended up being accepted into the American Heart Association's Quality Showcase Poster Session. Congratulations to Dan and Allison on this accomplishment!
