PROJECT UPDATE - OTCA is responsible for all temporary floor,wall and telecom equipment protection on the Aecom Tishman Generator Replacement Project within the Astoria, Verizon Facility. Once temporary protection was completed, prep work included over 500 penetrations for new Nelson Studs, along with facilitation of proper expansion joints and rebar installation for newly poured 6” reinforced concrete slabs. Additionally, OTCA was responsible for the new generator concrete platform which incorporated new steel framing, fabricated to support heavier structural loads. Upon completion of all new structural slabs, OTCA installed numerous 2-Hour Rated partitions and ceilings with associated doors, frames and hardware. While coordinating with Aecom & the various on-site trades, OTCA progresses in space prepping for one of Verizon’s largest Generator Replacements. Verizon AECOM Tishman
