Navigating Challenges So You Can Focus On Advancing Your Organization
关于我们
OTR Advisors combines on-the-ground action with cutting-edge tools to ensure your organization is positioned for success. At some point, nearly every organization and business finds itself needing to communicate and build support for its strategy. It may need to secure government approval, a policy change, or resolve a dispute at the local, state or federal level. To be successful, it requires critical internal communications to ensure employees, customers, and stakeholders understand the plan. Externally, it requires navigating the law, public policy, and politics, which often plays out in public through the media and a government body. Message and reputation can be the most important aspects of a project. When the public perception is negative, it can taint the rest of the project or the entire organization. Relationships are important, and so is understanding the audience in front of you. We develop deep relationships with key officials and ensure you have a comprehensive understanding of every person or entity that can impact your project so you can maximize your persuasion. Our team has a combined 65 years of experience advising public officials and advising organizations who need to interact with public officials and government bodies. We understand the people and processes that can help ensure your success or prevent you from achieving your goals. We are experts at our craft and dedicated to your success. CRISIS PLANNING NEEDED: Just about every organization can face a crisis that threatens its reputation and therefore it's ability to succeed. True, not every organization needs the same level of planning, but that doesn't mean some organizations are just magically immune from needing to prepare. WHY IT MATTERS: You can create a more resilient workforce that can be an early warning system for risks. Being prepared may help you protect from loss of life, loss of revenue, or the loss of the ability to help your employees provide for their families. WHAT IS CRISIS PLANNING: It can take on everything from operational planning and function to a focus on crisis communications. THE GOALS: - Effective management - Protection from catastrophic harm to reputation and revenue - Appropriate level of preparedness for all employees - Quicker response - Safety INTERESTED IN BEING PREPARED? We want to help!

B.J. Martino always offers insightful takes now having the ward results in Wisconsin. INTERESTING FINDING: Hovde overperformed Trump in WOW counties but Hovde underperformed Trump in rural counties. WHY IT MATTERS: Will Brad Schimel be able to hold conservatives in the WOW counties in his Wisconsin Supreme Court run but also capture rural Trump voters? In 2019, Hagedorn was able to capture Trump disengagers (those who voted in 2016 for Trump but didn’t come out for Walker in 2018). Trump weighed in favorably for Hagedorn. That playbook will need to be repeated in 2025 in the race against Judge Susan Crawford especially because the spring electorate has shifted to the left. The Wisconsin Supreme Court race has huge implications for the direction of the State.
With official ward results available in Wisconsin, I've taken a quick look at turnout and performance for the statewide Republican campaigns, including shifts in the Trump vote since 2020, and comparison between the Presidential and U.S. Senate races.

Thinking About Organizational Change? Communicating the change is just as important as the change itself if you want to realize the benefits of the change. WHY IT MATTERS: Organizational change can affect nearly every aspect of how an organization operates. And how the information is communicated matters more to your employees than the what is being communicated. Choosing not to communicate or doing so without regard to how your teams receive it will doom your change. KEY POINTS TO CONSIDER: 1) Know your audience. Understand what your team cares about, what it doesn't and develop personas of the various audiences that need to hear the message. Realize the views of your audience can change, are not uniform, and can have significant nuance. Make sure to understand how your audience's views are changing. 2) Ensure your teams know what to expect and that means making sure to convey change clearly. If there are challenging messages to be conveyed, take them on directly and clearly. The more your teams know, the less likely they work to defeat it. 3) Everyone needs to understand the organizational change. You may have different levels of information to convey for different audiences within your organization, but that does not mean some audiences receive no information. Everyone in your organization matters, so treat them like they matter. Underlying all three of these key points is empathy. Change is hard. Understand how your teams will be impacted and convey change with those considerations in mind to ensure your change achieves its desired goal.

PERCEPTION: Customers have long shopped at Target for their “cheap-chic” products. Increasingly, they are frustrated about items missing on shelves, long checkout lines and products locked up to prevent theft. It’s not fun to shop there anymore one customer said. WHY IT MATTERS: Target keeps losing market share to Wal-Mart and Amazon putting the once popular retailer in financial jeopardy. KEY TAKEAWAY: Perception matters, and not even a store as popular as Target once was is immune from what people perceive. Act early, don’t wait to address potential perception problems or perception will become your reality. https://lnkd.in/g6b5u7-X

POLLING INSIGHTS: Only 24% of voters nationwide support recess appointments for President Trump's cabinet, which would allow appointees to avoid the Senate confirmation process. 68% of voters oppose recess appointments. OF NOTE: Voters who favor Trump-like policies are evenly divided (47% favor normal procedure, 42% recess appointments). WHY IT MATTERS: The 2026 midterms will largely be a referendum of the first two years of President Trump's term. There is a fine line to walk for any administration between getting things done and not overreaching. The electorate's conclusion will be the midterm results. This Napolitan News Service?survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen November 18-19, 2024. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
