April 4 | 5:30-midnight | https://lnkd.in/g2wteBi7 Sasha Summer Cousineau, owner of REVEL ROUSER EVENTS LLC, is a fundraising auctioneer, gala emcee, and wedding officiant based in Seattle, WA. Sasha believes her clients make up the heart and moral compass of our communities which is why she is living her “OccuPassion” every time she gets to serve local non-profit organizations and educational institutions. A lifelong performer passionate about social justice, racial equity, and feminism, she is a skilled, experienced, and caring event professional who has a 360-degree view of events. In-person or online, you can bet that Sasha will bring her experience, talent, sparkle, and genuine care to her work. On the Boards invests in leading contemporary performing artists near and far, and connects them to a diverse range of communities interested in forward-thinking art and ideas. We believe if we are successful in our work that we can grow our field, enrich peoples' lives, and contribute to civic and global dialogues. www.ontheboards.org www.ontheboards.tv Our primary activities include: an annual performance season, featuring new projects by the most innovative performing artists from the Northwest and from around the world; the Performance Production Program, providing select artists with technical residencies, free rehearsal space, development support, project management, dramaturgical feedback, and advocacy; Northwest Artist Programs, currently including the NW New Works Festival of performance works-in-progress and Open Studio, a showcase of local short and in-progress works; and OntheBoards.tv, a first-of-its-kind online platform that features HD contemporary performance films available to global audiences and universities. We offer a range of resources and events that provide in-depth information and complimentary social experiences to frame the art on our stages and create dynamic access for our audiences. Our Studio Suppers and post-show events provide patrons with ample opportunities for socializing, and the Ambassador Project, creates dialogue between individuals from creative industry and the arts while it reaches communities across King County. Online contextual tools such as an interactive audience blog, artist interviews, essays and reviews enable better understanding and discussion of the work we present while Q&A sessions and master classes provide direct access to artists.

Kara Beadle is ready to dazzle you at ??Spectacle Spectacular: Candy! fundraising gala, happening April 4 | 5:30 - midnight They will perform ‘Inspect Before Use’, a PSA about the "born-sexy yesterday” trope and what NOT to do in the event of an emergency, originally presented at Velocity Dance Center's Next Fest NW '23. Tickets: https://lnkd.in/g2wteBi7 BIO: As a femme, non-binary artist Kara investigates, disputes, and puts on gender roles in their work in an effort to challenge how audiences perceive a female body. They place performers and objects in collaboration to create absurd scenes that objectify the body through comparisons with ordinary objects. Kara creates work that overlays prop landscapes, improvisational movement, live music, and site-adaptive performance to create media fluid realms for performers and audience members to explore. Kara’s work has been shown in Next Fest Northwest: Rupture/Reverence, Punchbowl, Show 5 Co- Performance and a Party, Georgetown’s Art Attack, The Shed’s Being Mode Residency Showing: Character Arc, Open Flight Studio’s Flight Deck Residency Showing, 18th and Union’s Portable Performance Festival, Velocity Dance Center’s Fall Kick-off: Portals, The Seattle International Dance Festival, eXitSPACE’s Launch and TakePause, Fremont Fringe, in collaboration with and at Cafe Racer.
