Community-based organization working to strengthen Green Bay's Broadway District
关于我们
On Broadway, Inc. (OBI) is a non-profit organization formed in 1995 through a grassroots effort to improve the Broadway District and create a vibrant downtown community. The Broadway District is boarded by Mather St. on the north, Mason Street on the south, Ashland Avenue on the west and the Fox River on the east. OBI is a Main Street Program following the five-point approach to revitalization that includes Design, Economic Restructuring, Marketing, Organization and Promotional Events. Each of these areas is overseen by a committee made up of volunteers from the community who meet once a month and work with staff, district businesses, and other volunteers to accomplish projects.

As Laurie Radke embarks on her next chapter, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for her years of dedication to the Greater Green Bay community and the Broadway District. She has expertly balanced competing demands, driven innovation in a traditionally slow-moving industry, and made a lasting impact. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments, Laurie!
For the first time in nearly a decade and a half the Greater Green Bay Chamber will seek a new CEO. The organization’s Board of Directors received and accepted a request by Laurie Radke to complete her time with the organization, which will occur on August 31, 2025. “Serving in this role has been a great privilege. I’m so very proud of the impact that has been made and grateful for the relationships that have been built to further advance the Greater Green Bay Chamber and our region over the last 14 years,” said Laurie. “Coming to this decision wasn’t easy. But we’re given this one precious life and time is of the essence for me to see what else I might do with it. No matter where that takes me this work, this team and this community has my heart.” Later this month, Waverly Partners, the firm that led the Greater Green Bay Chamber process that hired Laurie, will begin guiding the search for a new leader. More details to come! Join us in congratulating Laurie for her outstanding leadership, and stay tuned for opportunities in the coming months to celebrate the lasting impact she’s had on Greater Green Bay!

From running workshops and connecting with customers to being the HR and behind-the-scenes person. Truly wearing all the hats and still loving what I do." – Vanessa Schoen

At this year's State of the Broadway District, we had the honor of presenting the 2024 Paul Jadin Impact Award to Paul Belschner. Paul has played a huge role in the revitalization and growth of the Broadway District over the years. “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Paul (Jadin) for decades and am honored to be presented with the Paul Jadin Impact Award in its second year. Paul, as the leader of the Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce at the time, partnered with us to provide a catalyst project (Chamber Building) to what is now known as the Rail Yard Innovation District. His steadfast leadership has provided our community with the assets needed to flourish. Our (Base Companies) team looks to partner and supplement the community's continued growth and vibrance within the Broadway District.” - Paul Belschner, President & CEO, Base Companies LLC

As we continue celebrating Women's History Month, we want to introduce you to Bri Renquin, owner of Lark and Lace Salon in the Broadway District. We asked Bri what inspired her to start her own business, and here is what she had to say. "I started my business as a space for independent stylists to come together and work in a thriving & welcoming environment with opportunities for future growth. I wanted to incorporate all the perks I had as a single studio owner but in a larger space surrounded by other stylists. Passion for the industry, continuous growth, and education are what drive me. Being on Broadway has been one of the best career opportunities and decisions I have made. I can’t wait for the many years to come!" - Bri Renquin

When community residents have options for basic and unique foods in their own neighborhood, it affords them the opportunity to create and then maintain a healthier lifestyle. Listen to Natalie Bomstad, MPH with Wello as she describes how a public market can be that place that provides year-round access to healthy food, supporting residents, while also supporting local farmers who can provide that food. We look forward to the Green Bay Public Market serving the community in this and so many other ways. ?? Shift Visuals
