Ogden Murphy Wallace's Employment Law Team has a new update on Washington State's proposed Paid Sick Leave and Family Care Act Administrative Policies. The Department of Labor & Industries recently proposed new administrative policies that will affect how employers handle state-mandated paid sick leave for employees’ own medical conditions and employees’ use of accrued sick leave and other forms of paid time off to care for family members.?The statues that the proposed policies are based on have also changed, and we are ready to assist employers with compliance for 2025.?Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gdpuQM_w #employmentlaw

OMW has been in full networking mode this past month, and last week we had the honor of hosting a reception for the 2025 Gregoire Fellows. It was a fantastic evening bringing together leaders, advocates, and supporters from across Seattle’s legal community to celebrate this talented group of future lawyers. Special thanks to Dean Tony Varona and Matt Etter from Seattle University School of Law; Dean Tamara Lawson , Yesenia Gutierrez and George Hayek from the University of Washington School of Law; and all the attorneys and sponsors who joined us.?
Such a delight to catch up with Seattle University School of Law alum and partner at Ogden Murphy Wallace Andrew Tsoming and OMW associate Cynthia Park — my former Contracts student at American U in DC! — at the Gregoire Program Fellows Reception this evening hosted by OMW at their beautiful and skyhigh Columbia Center offices. The new Gregoire Fellows are amazing and we are so grateful to all of the firm and corporate sponsors for their support.
