Omnes is honored to embark on a design residency with Agency Landscape + Planning, a mission-driven studio based in Cambridge, MA. Change-makers in the public realm, Agency has a history of hosting artists and designers in residency – starting with David Buckley Borden in 2019 and Steven Woods Jr. , RLA, NOMA in 2022. Artist and design residencies are short-term programs that allow creative people to collaborate, grow together through working closely, and expand collective impact. We will be focusing mainly on two Agency projects in our residency: the Chattanooga Riverfront and the first segment of the New Jersey DEP-led Greenway that spans Essex and Hudson Counties. The A x O Design Residency will involve thoughtful collaboration, shared creative engagement, and lots of togetherness. We’re excited to share the new ideas that come from this collaboration!

Omnes is a multi-faceted design studio practicing in landscape architecture, urban design, planning, and art. Omnes literally means all, everybody, together. This simple Latin word perfectly sums up the ideology of our studio and our ability to connect the dots between people, ideas, and contexts. Our designs are not obscure or convoluted – they are tangible, beautiful, and relevant. Landscape is a means to experience the sublime – a right due to everybody on our earth (present and future). Our work creates meaning and memory within communities while keeping land ethics at the fore. We impart thoughtfulness to everything we do through our inclusive work process and ethically constructive culture. Established in 2019, the studio of five is based in the Lehigh Valley, and offers design services nationally. Omnes holds a number of certifications, recognizing the studio as a Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WOSB) / Women Business Enterprise (WBE); a Disadvantaged Small Business Entity (DBE/SBE/DSBE); an LGBTQ+ Business Enterprise (LGBTBE); and a Disability-Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE).

We have been delighted to see the community's tremendous positive feedback since the design for Allentown's Center Square went public yesterday. It's a complex project that's been achievable thanks to our terrific and talented multidisciplinary team. The future is bright for downtown A-Town!
We're excited to share the final design for the Center Square Redesign Project at 7th & Hamilton! Center Square is the historic center of downtown Allentown, marked by the iconic Soldiers and Sailor's monument. It brings together community – the site of celebrations, festivals, protests, parades, and daily life in the city. The design is based on feedback we received from public engagement last summer and will embody the goals of our Vision 2030 Plan, as well as the 2016 Art & Nature Landscape Development Framework Plan. This civic plaza celebrates the centrality of the monument, while prioritizing the natural flow of traffic and pedestrian safety around it. Improvements will include enhanced paving as well as new street trees and green spaces. We look forward to enhancing this space for us all to enjoy!
