We develop technology products in the areas of biometrics, Space technologies, AI, machine learning, power and energy, undersea and more. Our team has several US military veterans on the team to solve the technology challenges of the DoD effectively, efficiently and reliably. Since 2018, Ombra has worked on numerous technology projects for the DoD including for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force and Special Operations Forces. Ombra founder and president, Michael Fieldson, has over 19 years of experience working with Special Operations Forces (SOF) as a mechanical engineer, technology developer and program manager. Did you Hear? Ombra has been selected for award on a Phase I contract under the U.S. Army's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program! ?? Our winning project, FIELD, falls under the Sensors category: Uncooled Thermal Sensor Component Enhancement and Supply Chain Open Topic. This innovative effort focuses on advancing critical technologies that support contested logistics, sustainment, and sensor capabilities for the Army. Each of the 60 selected small businesses this November will receive a Phase I contract worth up to $250,000, marking a combined investment of nearly $15M into groundbreaking solutions to address national security challenges.
