Oman and Kuwait Sign Memorandum of Cooperation for Joint Investments Oman Investment Authority and Kuwait Investment Authority signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds held in Muscat. The agreement was signed by His Excellency Abdulsalam Al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority, representing Oman, and Ghanem Al Ghenaiman, Board Member and Board of Director of Kuwait Investment Authority, representing Kuwait. This memorandum reflects the strong ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Kuwait and the shared desire of both countries to enhance and expand their cooperation in investment based on mutual interests. The memorandum aims to establish a shared framework for collaboration and coordination on joint investments and to initiate discussions on potential future investment opportunities in both countries. Under this agreement, both parties will begin discussions to establish a joint investment fund in Oman, as well as explore existing investment opportunities overseen by Oman Investment Authority. These opportunities span various sectors, including energy, utilities, social infrastructure, telecommunications, transportation, and logistics services. #OIA

#OIA also wove an exceptional agenda for the participants. This included enlightening discussions and tours to historical, cultural, and urban sights. It introduced participants to Oman’s deep-rooted heritage and hospitality as the ‘land of opportunities.’

#OIA takes pride in the IFSWF decision to elevate the status of the accompanying conference to be called the ‘Muscat Dialogue’. It is the first in what will become the dialogue of each upcoming city hosting an IFSWF meeting. #IFSWFMuscat concluded yesterday with unparalleled success of rich discussions between members and participants from around the world.
