?? Property Pricing Update ?? As part of our goal to restore and maintain equity for Land Bank buyers and their neighbors, our AMD staff did a deep dive into the individual parcels of land in our inventory on a street-to-street comparison of land sold within a 1-mile radius. Items considered when comparing properties included the square footage of the lot, foresting on the lot, proximity to amenities, and buildability. What does this mean for you? Some of our properties (like the ones below) have since been reduced in price! ?? 2624 N 19th Ave ($17,200 to $9,200) ?? 3410 Ames Ave ($21,500 to $11,700) ?? 6501 N 37th Street ($13,500 to $6,500) ?? 3809 Decatur Street ($22,800 to $9,750) This is a great time to browse our inventory to see if any lots meet the needs of your potential development project ??https://lnkd.in/gg_bVkUV

We're the Omaha Municipal Land Bank (OMLB), and our goal is simple: transform Omaha's distressed properties into community assets. To do so, we will assess and acquire properties deemed no longer livable and either redevelop or demolish and start anew. It will take time, dedication and community participation, but opportunity will move in, one neighborhood at a time.

Meet our OMLB board members! Today's focus is on Lou Ann Goding, a Voting Board Member for District 7. We got to chat with her, and here is what she had to share: Q: Can you share with us your background and what motivated you to join the OMLB Board? A: I have spent my career working in community development and real estate, with a focus on revitalizing neighborhoods and creating opportunities for sustainable growth. My background in urban planning and economic development has given me insight into how strategic investments can transform communities. I was motivated to join OMLB because I believe in its mission to repurpose vacant properties into valuable community assets, ensuring that all residents have access to stable, thriving neighborhoods. Q: How do you see your role as a board member positively impacting the community? A: My goal is to leverage my expertise to help expand redevelopment efforts, support small developers, and promote equitable access to land ownership. I'm particularly passionate about increasing affordable housing options and fostering inclusive growth. Through collaboration with city leaders, local businesses, and community stakeholders, I hope to help OMLB drive impactful change that benefits all of Omaha.
