"Our strong sense of camaraderie and mutual respect. We bring together a variety of professional and personal backgrounds, which makes for a dynamic and well-rounded group. Despite our different perspectives, we mesh together seamlessly—whether we're tackling challenges together or just sharing lunch. We value our ability to maintain a positive outlook (usually rooted in humor) even when facing difficult situations." What motivates the team to perform at their best? "Although our efforts may sometimes go unnoticed, our work is essential for facility audits and overall compliance. Documentation is the foundation of Olympia’s ability to accurately demonstrate daily operations and maintain accountability. Each of us has a personal drive for organization and efficiency, which fuels our motivation to keep everything well-maintained, accurate, and visually cohesive. We take pride in knowing that our attention to detail contributes significantly to the company’s success, with the added benefit of making our documentation look pretty!" Your team's motto is "But did you document it?" Where did that phrase originate? "It’s adapted from a core principle of Good Documentation Practices: 'If it’s not documented, it didn’t happen.' This phrase evolved into our own concise question, serving as both a reminder and a checkpoint in our work. While often rhetorical, it highlights a critical part of our purpose—ensuring that all actions are traceable and verifiable. Without documentation, there’s no way to prove what’s been done, making this question central to our team’s greater purpose here at Olympia." What are the biggest challenges the team faces,?and how do you work together to overcome them? "It’s our most essential responsibility, as well:?ensuring that everything is thoroughly documented. Document creation and revision require a significant investment of time and, as anyone who has wrestled with Microsoft Word formatting knows, a lot of patience! However, we’re often asked to deliver polished, ready-to-use documents on tight deadlines, sometimes in half a day rather than several. To meet these demands, we rely on gathering multiple perspectives; the more eyes on our documents, the stronger they become. Attention to detail is also critical to our success. We work closely with all departments to ensure they have the documentation needed to operate smoothly, which often involves learning the intricacies of roles we don’t perform ourselves. This enables us to design forms and procedures that are both practical and comprehensive, helping other teams work efficiently and maintain compliance. By balancing precision with adaptability, we overcome these challenges and support the entire organization."
