Olympia Coffee Announces Grand Opening of New Cafe in Downtown Seattle Seattle, WA — August 5, 2024 — Olympia Coffee Roasting Co. is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its newest cafe at 1420 5th Ave Suite 103, Seattle, Washington. This new location marks the company's seventh cafe and its first venture into downtown Seattle. Cafe Hours - Monday - Friday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM - Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM - Soft Opening Hours (through August 18, 2024): 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM About the Location The new cafe is situated in Downtown Seattle, conveniently near the Washington State Convention Center, Pike Place Market, and the historic 5th Avenue Theater. The cafe is housed within Cedar Hall at the US Bank Center (USBC), a revitalized open-air hall designed to foster community interaction and create a vibrant public retail space. Zach Zaborowski, Senior Vice President of Pacific Northwest at EQ Office, shares, “Our vision for USBC has been to create an inspiring workplace and a welcoming atmosphere for human connection. By partnering with Olympia Coffee, we are enhancing the tenant experience and reinforcing our commitment to the Downtown Seattle community.” Location Concept Olympia Coffee’s Cedar Hall location features two service windows: one within Cedar Hall, providing access to over 100 seats and various intimate spaces for meetings and conversation, and a second window on the 5th Avenue sidewalk, evoking the essence of Seattle’s espresso culture from the 80s and 90s. The cafe also showcases an impressive collection of public art, including pieces by Northwest artist RYAN! Feddersen. Menu Highlights The new cafe will offer a full espresso menu and a curated tasting menu, including popular drinks like “the One and Fun” and seasonal specials such as the Haupia Latte. Food items will be provided by Moonrise Bakery, featuring award-winning chef Michele Pompei’s pastries like Kouign Amann and Red Velvet Croissants, alongside savory options from Sunrise Tacos. Cafe Details Olympia Coffee has collaborated with La Marzocco to install a Mod Bar Peninsula equipped with four espresso fonts and steam wands. Freshly ground espresso will be prepared with Mahlkonig E80S GBW grinders, and batch-brewed coffee will be made using Fetco’s 2232 brewer. The cafe will also feature two Eco Turbo Chef Ovens for warm pastries and food items. Our very own Reyna Callejo took home 1st place in this year's U.S. Coffee in Good Spirits Championship! ?? This marks the second year in a row that the Olympia Coffee team has taken the gold at the national level of this competition! Last year's champ, our co-founder Sam Schroeder, stood proudly by as Reyna's coach this year. And she'll be taking the torch from him to Worlds in Copenhagen this June.
