This past Saturday, Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Institute proudly participated in the Colon Cancer Coalition's Get Your Rear in Gear! We came together as a community to raise awareness for colon cancer. From the starting line to the finish, every step taken was a step toward hope, prevention, and support for those impacted by this disease. We’re proud to welcome 76 new resident physicians following the 2025 National Resident Matching Program. They will begin their next chapter in our residency programs and Louisiana State University-based residency programs. As the largest academic medical center in the region, we are deeply committed to graduate medical education. These new physicians represent diverse backgrounds and institutions from across the country and will gain high-acuity, hands-on experience alongside our expert faculty and care teams. “This is a milestone moment for the residents and for our institution,” said Chuck Spicer, president, Our Lady of the Lake Health. “We are honored to play a key role in their journey.” We look forward to the incredible impact they’ll make—in our hospitals, in our communities, and throughout their careers.
