OEI was contracted to design a waterline replacement within MOUNTAIN WATER SUPPLY CORP's distribution system. The replacement consisted of a 4-Inch HDPE waterline on Highway 84 in Gatesville, TX. This project was met with design constraints that included right-of-way with numerous existing utilities and planning for the expansion of the highway by TxDOT. Climate change is reshaping Texas’ water landscape, leading to hotter temperatures, changing rainfall patterns, and more severe droughts. These shifts threaten both surface water supplies and critical groundwater resources, like the Ogallala Aquifer, which are already overdrawn.
