"At Olga Neighborhood Wellness Services, our mission is to cultivate a community of compassion and support, fostering holistic well-being for individuals facing challenges in their journey toward stability. Located in the Avenues West neighborhood, our essential services and supportive community nourish body, mind and spirit. We strive to address the fundamental needs of our community by offering meal services three days a week, ensuring that no one goes to bed hungry. Our commitment extends beyond mere sustenance; we aim to create a warm and welcoming environment that fosters a sense of belonging. In recognition of the intricate connection between mental health and overall well-being, we will serve as a branch of “Bread of Healing”, a drop-in mental health assessment center. Here, individuals can access timely and professional support, breaking down barriers to mental health care and promoting early intervention. Understanding the complexities of substance use challenges, we are resolute in our dedication to providing comprehensive substance use treatment services, through our partnership with Serenity Inns. Our approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and evidence-based practices, empowering individuals to overcome barriers and embark on a path towards recovery. By synergizing these vital components, we aspire to be a beacon of hope and transformation in our community. Our goal is not merely to alleviate immediate needs but to inspire lasting change, creating a ripple effect that positively impacts the lives of individuals and the community as a whole. Together, with our partners, we envision a future where every person, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to lead a life filled with dignity, purpose, and resilience. Exciting times here at Olga Neighborhood Wellness Services! We're finalizing the plan for "Lunch at Olga's," wrapping up loose ends with mission partners, finishing the renovations etc. Now is the time to start considering your involvement! What's needed? ?? Volunteers! As we expand our meal program to three days a week, within our newly renovated event space/kitchen we are looking for individuals and teams who are willing to lend a helping hand with cooking, set up, clean up, and serving. This is a great opportunity for corporate teams and student groups, but also individuals with a passion for serving.
