People in the Southeast region, we are thinking of you today and are hoping the worst of hurricane season is behind us!???? In the eyes of the Produce Industry, Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton have caused significant disruptions in the agricultural sector, leading to crop losses and poultry supply chain issues. In the Southeast region, heavy rainfall and high winds have damaged crops like corn and tomatoes, with some areas experiencing total loss. Poultry farms faced challenges due to power outages and flooding, affecting processing operations and causing delays. As farmers assess the extent of the damage, recovery efforts are underway, but the impact on food supply and prices is expected to be felt in the coming weeks. Last week our Ole Tyme Sales and Marketing Team visited Concord Elementary and Kennerly Elementary to talk about #local produce and explain the supply chain—how #produce starts at a farm and ends up on your plate! The kids also got to sample sweet potatoes and apples from local farms! We would like to thank both Concord and Kennerly Elementary schools for allowing us to come visit!?????????

Jack Baran joined the OTP family as Chief of Staff in June 2021 and has been instrumental in driving growth and diversification ever since! As we embrace the Fall season, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on a transformative summer. Last May, I proudly graduated from Saint Louis University with a BS in Marketing. My time at SLU not only provided me with a solid education but also gifted me with cherished memories, lifelong friendships, and incredible opportunities, including studying abroad. I am thrilled to share that I accepted a full-time position as a Marketing and Communications Specialist at Ole Tyme Produce Inc, following my internship there in Spring and Summer 2023. Now in my third month, I’m grateful for the numerous opportunities I’ve had to grow and learn. Under the leadership of Joan Daleo, I’ve gained valuable insights into the Produce/Food Industry and developed a deep appreciation for the Supply Chain. I am truly thankful for this opportunity and excited to continue expanding my skill set and knowledge in the industry and as a Marketer!

He started out with Ole Tyme as a truck driver before working his way into his present role as Manager!
