OKNY founder Josh Wisoff recently spoke on a panel hosted by the Capital Region Workforce Development Board to share the story of how this company moved from ideation to startup from continued efforts in workforce development. We are hard at work to build our new product. This is only made possible by a tight knit team that works very well together and brought together with the collective goal of working very hard to make the world a better place. https://lnkd.in/gR9J7c58
We're proud to have hosted a fantastic two-day workforce development workshop in partnership with the Capital Region Workforce Development Board, featuring insightful presentations from Maria Ayoob of New York State Technology Enterprise Corporation (NYSTEC), Trent Griffin-Braaf of Tech Valley Shuttle, Laurie Thomson and Chris Pinheiro from the New York State Department of Labor, and Philip Bruce of RPI. The event started with a panel moderated by Brian J. Williams, featuring Josh Wisoff of OKNY, Trent Griffin-Braaf, and Katie Newcombe Chief Economic Development Officer of Capital Region Workforce Development Board. The panel discussed current trends, opportunities, and difficulties in workforce development strategies today. Attendees gained valuable information on tax incentives, apprenticeships, the benefits of internships, and innovative workforce mobility solutions. The workshop was filled with engaging discussions and networking opportunities. A sincere thank you to Brian J. Williams from Capital Region Workforce Development Board for your exceptional efforts and commitment, which were instrumental in making this event a success.
