Kinsey joined Okland two years ago as a laborer and is now a skilled crane operator and certified rigger, playing a key role in the North Capitol Project in Salt Lake City. "The coolest part of my job is being involved in the major crane picks at the Capitol," Kinsey shares. The University of Utah's Huntsman Translational Research Building will feature the worlds only 7 Tesla (7T) MRI scanner, which is?a powerful MRI machine that uses a strong magnetic field to generate detailed images, dedicated to brain research. Inspired by neuroscience principles, movement is prioritized via inviting interior paths and integrated collaboration stairs, while gentle curves, nature, soft colors and abundant daylight create a restorative oasis. Progress is continuing at the 100,000sf L.S. Skaggs Applied Science Building, a key part of the Applied Science Project at the University of Utah. This project also includes the renovation of the historic William Stewart Building, both set to be completed by next summer. Once completed, the L.S. Skaggs Building will join the impressive Crocker Science Complex. This complex will not only be a landmark for the campus but a collaborative environment where students and faculty tackle some of the most pressing challenges of our time, including energy sustainability, air quality, climate change, and drought resilience! #Science #UofU #Construction #Utah #UT #Okland

The innovative Utah State Capitol Museum includes not only the state's first history museum but also modern office spaces and an underground parking garage, all designed with the community in mind. The 160,000sf, 4 story Utah State Capitol Museum will be a hub for exploring the state's rich history, culture, and art, with world-class exhibits and community-focused programming. Located within the new North Capitol Building, it will serve as a gateway to Utah’s Capitol Complex, inviting visitors to connect with the past while considering their impact on Utah’s future. Additionally, this project will feature a state-of-the-art conservation facility, specially designed to care for Utah's historical and artistic artifacts. Our friends at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) came to the 100 West Washington, future City of Phoenix headquarters building for a walkthrough and an update on the project. This site, in the historic Wells Fargo Building, offered a unique opportunity to showcase the transformation of a local landmark into a modern, state-of-the-art facility.
