??OSH Spotlight??- Donise, Inpatient Nurse Tech Donise celebrated her 5th year as a Nurse Tech on our inpatient floor last month, so we asked her what's made her stay in the same position on the same floor for that length of time, she said: "I stay at OSH because the patient/tech ratio is the best I've seen. I also love the teamwork from my coworkers, I know if I need something, they are there to help, and the nurses really help the Techs out, too, which is not always something I've seen in my working history. I know if I ever have any issues, I can go to my manager and she she is willing to listen, be present, and help. I can't be the Tech I am without the amazing help from management, charge nurses, RN's, and my fellow Techs. We truly are family!" OSH Receives 5-Star Rating Again! The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released the recent Hospital Compare information and OSH has once again been rated 5-Star. CMS compares the quality of over 4,000 Medicare certified hospital across the nation and ranks them based on various performance measures. Part of this is the HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) survey that patients complete after discharge. OSH received a 5-star rating in the following areas of the HCAHPS survey: - Willingness to Recommend the Hospital - Communication with Nursing - Communication with Doctors - Responsiveness of Hospital Staff - Quietness of Hospital OSH received a 4-star rating in the following areas of the HCAHPS survey: - Communication about Medicines - Cleanliness of Hospital Environment - Care Transitions We want to thank our amazing employees who provide excellent care and customer service to our patients each and every day. Another #OSH Thanksgiving is in the books! We have celebrated Thanksgiving at #OSH for over 20 years!?Our employees are treated to a sit down, catered meal with all of the Thanksgiving fixings and dessert. Employees also received holiday shirts that they can wear to work the rest of the year. Happy Thanksgiving! ????
