Eligible entities such as local or national nonprofits, institutions of higher education, governmental entities, and Native American Tribes can apply by submitting a grant application. AmeriCorps grants are awarded to organizations proposing evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions to strengthen Oklahoma communities through the engagement of AmeriCorps members. Oklahoma AmeriCorps is proud to be a partner with Project Transformation Oklahoma. The program offers leadership development and career exploration that involves conducting summer day camp programming for children from under-resourced neighborhoods. The collaboration between churches and Project Transformation aims to establish meaningful connections and relationships with families in these neighborhoods.
