Join us on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. as film and music professionals gather at the Oklahoma Capitol for Film and Music Day to highlight our industries for state legislature. Taking place on the second-floor rotunda of the Oklahoma State Capitol Building, Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell and Cherokee Nation Chief Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. will be amongst the guests to kick off the day. The come-and-go event will host 55+ film and music vendors, various music performances, special effects make-up demo, and will be free and open to the public. Administered by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and the Oklahoma Development Finance Authority, the Oklahoma Innovation Expansion Program (OIEP) makes $15 million in funding available to qualifying companies across the state. OIEP supports high-impact new capital investment across a broad range of industries – including film and music businesses - to help diversify the state’s economy, lead to new product development and increase capacity at Oklahoma’s existing companies. Boiling Point Media and One Set Studio, a Public Strategies Initiative, are two examples of local film businesses who were able to use OIEP to enhance their robust technologies and equipment to further expand their business services.
