The new venture, Renew Home, is receiving a $100M investment from Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners (SIP), OhmConnect's existing investor. “Renew Home will optimize the way households across the country consume energy and interact with the electrical grid, strategically aligning their energy consumption to reduce their energy bills while reducing pressure on the grid, particularly during moments of peak stress and times when clean energy is less readily available. A company called Ohm Connect works as a power supplier not by creating electricity and selling to the grid but by working with a network of customers to reduce demand when energy is expensive or dirty.
