Today, we launched the 2025 #CompetingToWin Tour with the NAM #StateofMFG Address at Armstrong World Industries in Hilliard, Ohio. I was joined on stage by NAM Board Chair Kathryn Wengel, NAM Executive Vice President Erin Streeter, Armstrong World Industries Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Austin So and The Ohio Manufacturers' Association' President Ryan Augsburger. Manufacturing in the United States is moving forward. Like a press at full speed, like a production line firing on all cylinders, like the workers who show up before dawn and leave long after the job is done—manufacturing in the United States is driving us forward. We have momentum, and we have a government that is moving fast—faster than we’ve seen in years—to make American industry stronger, more competitive and more dominant. And to ensure we have a thriving American economy, we need a comprehensive strategy that allows manufacturers to plan, invest, hire and grow in the U.S. We can’t afford to fail—not on taxes, not on regulations, not on energy, not on trade, not on workforce policy. Last weekend, Ohio manufacturers traveled to Washington, D.C., to observe and celebrate the inauguration of the President and Vice President of the United States. Throughout the weekend, manufacturers were joined by a litany of Ohio's congressional delegation, members of Ohio's executive and legislative branches, and U.S. Senators Jon Husted and Bernie Moreno, who outlined their priorities in the Senate to put Ohio first in D.C.
