Friday 10/25, we had the opportunity to visit JPMorganChase in Columbus for an insightful networking trip. We got to speak to various people throughout the Asset Management division and learn about career progression within the company. We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity and would like to thank everyone who helped make this trip a success! A special mention to Amber Jakubson and Tim Thiebout for being our hosts for the day. As well as Kasey DeWalt and Jameson Hern for their continued support of our organization!

Happening this week!

Some of our members had the amazing opportunity to travel to Columbus, Ohio for an exhilarating networking trip! This action packed trip was filled with insights from inspirational people with experience at pivotal companies. We started at Diamond Hill, where we had the pleasure of chatting with Fixed Alumni Dane Hudson. Next up was Nationwide, where we connected with Fixed Alumni Patrick Burke, CFA and OU Alumni Zach Smithers and Andrew Urban, CFA. We wrapped up our visits at J.P. Morgan, engaging with Fixed Alumni Kasey DeWalt and OU Alumni David Boone, Joe Hisdorf, and Denise Hesser, CFA. To top it all off, we enjoyed headed to Jackie O’s in Columbus to reflect our amazing trip! Special thanks to Paige Owsiany, for planning this amazing trip!

On Friday, Sept. 20, over 300 students participated in the annual Finance Panel Speakers Summit. More than a dozen alumni from across the finance industry spoke about their careers in finance. Students gained an inside perspective on career trajectories, day-to-day responsibilities, and challenges and opportunities in the financial industry.
