Yesterday, the OII welcomed members to Columbus for our 2025 Mid-Year Meeting. It was a great opportunity to connect with peers, and to discuss issues impacting the industry and ways we can work together to strengthen the insurance sector for years to come. Ohio’s Severe Weather Awareness Week is March 16-22, 2025. ? The Ohio Insurance Institute has developed a series of handouts for students in grades 1-6 focused on thunderstorm and lightning safety, and tornado safety. Also included are a severe weather safety plan for families and coloring page to remind students to “DUCK” when severe weather hits. Director French recently engaged in a conversation with OII President and CEO Dean Fadel at Bowling Green State University. The OII has a long history of spearheading workforce development on behalf of Ohio's insurance industry. This week, Insuring Ohio Futures (IOF) received the Industry Sector Partnership grant from the Office of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine through the Ohio Department of Development.
