The Ohio Gas Association is a natural gas trade organization representing nearly 40 local distribution companies and cooperatives. Additionally, the OGA represents the vast majority of all intra and inter state gas transmission firms and some of the largest natural gas commodity marketers whose customers include residential, commercial and industrial gas users. The member companies of the OGA serve over 3.6 million customers in Ohio. Our goal is to inform member companies of rules, regulations, and accepted practices within the natural gas industry. The OGA represents its members and the industry in all aspects of their operations before groups including the Ohio General Assembly and the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Because of our size and influence at the state level, OGA accomplishes more, at a much lower cost than an individual gas company can on its own. Our primary activities and areas of focus include: ? Fostering the exchange of information, best practices and technical support among members. ? Monitoring and proactively engaging in legislative and regulatory activities. ? Promoting customer satisfaction, public safety, and awareness. ? Supporting students who are seeking careers in the natural gas industry through the Ohio Gas Association Scholarship Foundation.

New Board Member! We’re thrilled to announce that Lindsay Walden Hollar has joined us as our newest OGA Trustee! As the third generation to represent Sheldon Gas Company Inc., Lindsay continues the legacy of her father, Richard Walden, and great-uncle, Bert Sheldon, a founding member of the OGA. Lindsay is the Vice President of Sheldon Gas Company, a small, family-owned natural gas distributor in Dunkirk, Ohio, proudly serving about 1,300 customers across Hardin, Hancock, and Wyandot counties. Since 1914, Sheldon Gas has been a family-operated business, and Lindsay is now the fifth generation to carry on this tradition. Join us in welcoming Lindsay and celebrating this exciting chapter for the OGA and Sheldon Gas!

Yesterday, we had the honor of meeting our eight new scholarship recipients, who come from diverse and impressive backgrounds across Ohio. These students have shown incredible talent, dedication, and hard work. We’re so proud to support their educational journeys and can’t wait to see all the amazing things they’ll achieve! They will be headed off to Ohio University, University of Northwestern Ohio, Mount Union, Kent State, University of Dayton, Muskingum University and Hobart School of Welding in the fall!
