Experiences aplenty at Ohio University Sports Administration ?? The undergraduate sport management capstone class has been busy with two major experiences within 10 days of each other this month. The capstone course partnered with sport clients in Atlanta for consulting projects. Students had the chance to travel and work alongside Atlanta Falcons, Learfield, Playfly Agency and the Collegiate Licensing Company. ?? The students also attended the Sport Marketing Association conference in St. Louis, Missouri. The students worked to develop brand awareness and sport partnership strategies for a pickle brand in a case study competition.

Since January 2016, we have partnered with the LAIOB - Latin America Institute of Business. The result? More than 3,000 alumni have graduated from LAIOB's executive education program. ?? Innovation isn't always about doing new things. Sometimes, it's recognizing what makes you unique - investing and growing those things. The IBC gets students to apply concepts from four disciplines (business communication, management, analytics and information systems, and marketing) simultaneously to gain hands-on experience while using problem-based learning. It's complex to manage?and complicated to duplicate, and it ensures that OHIO's business education is at the cutting edge of practice. Our School of Accountancy is working to change the misconception that accounting is just about math. In reality, the school aims to foster an understanding that accounting is about telling stories with numbers because it is at the core of nearly every industry. ?? OHIO's School of Accountancy is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, a recognition less than one percent of institutions have been given.

Happy #VeteransDay, Bobcats ???? Ohio University recently hosted the VAU Fallen Heroes Memorial on campus in late October. The Memorial is composed of more than 7,000 dog tags, each representing a service member who has fallen in the War on Terror. The dog tags are arranged in alphabetical order from Sept. 11, 2001, to December 31, 2017, with tags thereafter in chronological order of those Killed in Action (KIA).

Master of Accountancy and Analytics students recently visited Ohio University alumni-owned Fifty West Brewing as part of an experiential learning project. ?? Thank you to Bobby Slattery '04 and the Fifty West team for having us! Fifty West now has three locations in Ohio: Wooster Pike, Deerfield and Chillicothe.
