In 2024, all UN members committed to the UN Digital Compact, which aims to bring internet access to 2.6 billion people. With Internet Access, Ohana One can train one surgeon to save thousands. Today, I had the honour of representing my colleague @Jeppe Lohfert Haslund-Vinding’s abstract — Teleneurosurgery between Denmark and Greenland — at the Deutschen Chirurgie Kongress. This project is a fantastic team effort between Ohana One International Surgical Aid and Education the Neurosurgery Department at Rigshospitalet and surgeons at Dronning Ingrid’s Hospital in Nuuk. According to the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery, an estimated 5 billion people worldwide lack access to safe and affordable surgical and anaesthesia care.
