After careful consideration, Ohana Homefront Foundation has made the difficult decision to dissolve and transfer resources to Defenders of Resilience Military Ministry (https://lnkd.in/eH3a-_ab), a fellow non-profit dedicated to serving the military community. We’re incredibly grateful for all the unwavering support throughout the years. Your generosity has truly made a difference in countless lives. This decision ensures continued high-quality support for military families without delay. Defenders of Resilience’s expertise allows them to further empower families in new and impactful ways. When Ohana Homefront Foundation says to never leave anyone behind. OHF means anyone, not just those in uniform! Mission Statement: The impact of inadequate access and lack of quality care does not affect just our service members, it affects their families and the military community. The mission of the Ohana Homefront Foundation is to end suicide within the Military Community as a whole. Ohana Homefront Foundation does this through helping service members to safely process traumatic experiences and providing crisis intervention, and empowering military spouses & families to feel confident and supported in caring for their service members and children, through creating connection to communities and providing resources for their own healing. Vision Statement: Every military service member, veteran, and family member can receive comprehensive and inclusive mental health and wellness support services. Organization Description: The Ohana Homefront Foundation was founded on October 4, 2021 by Marine MilSpouse, Natalie Ealy, and (Ret.) Navy MilSpouse, Sarah Otto. Both Natalie & Sarah have been MilSpouses for over 2 decades and have a heart for the Military Community as a whole. They realized that there is a gap when it comes to Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention and want to make sure that EVERYONE in the Military Community is receiving the care that they need to their Mental Health. Ohana Homefront Foundation is working to bring the talk of suicide to the front for the Military Community as a whole and to offer support to all that hold down the Homefront. There is a gap when it comes to Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention within our Military Community and OHF wants to make sure that EVERYONE in the Military Community is receiving the care that they need for their Mental Health. To do so, we have a team of licensed Counselors on board, along with a Life Coach, Health Coach & Peer-to-Peer Mentors.
