From South Africa to Ohio’s campuses – virtually! ???? Shawnee State University student Justin Meyer used his game development skills during his Ohio Technology Consortium student employment to create the “Universe of Opportunity,” a virtual reality tour of Ohio’s postsecondary institutions. This project, which first debuted at the Ohio State Fair, lets users explore campuses and get a feel for Ohio’s educational opportunities. The Ohio Technology Consortium has been recognized for the Ohio Supercomputer Center’s (OSC) “What’s So Super About Supercomputing?” Activity Book, which was announced as an award winner at the 2024 Public Relations Society of America PRSA Central Ohio Chapter’s annual PRism awards May 23. The activity book, which spotlights supercomputing and how OSC supports research and education in this growing field, won the top prize in the “Non-Profit: Single-Issue Publications” category.
