??Weekly LNG Insight Spotlight: Golar LNG has finalized an agreement with bp, the operator of the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project offshore Mauritania and Senegal, and its partner Kosmos Energy, to utilize an LNG cargo for the commissioning of the Gimi FLNG vessel. Last month, the LNG carrier British Sponsor delivered the initial gas supply to the vessel. As preparations proceed, additional gas from this cargo will be used until the GTA FPSO is ready to commence gas exports to the Gimi FLNG vessel. ?? ??Weekly LNG Insight Spotlight: It's encouraging to see Angola LNG exploring future expansion options, including the addition of a three-million-metric-ton-per-year mini train, as new gas supplies to the plant are expected to increase over the next 12 months, according to energy executives. The ALNG plant, which was commissioned over a decade ago at a cost of $12B, has been operating below its nameplate capacity for years due to declining gas production from the mature fields feeding the facility. The project encountered several challenges during its commissioning and start-up phases. Notably, ALNG has served as a learning ground for many in the LNG industry. Recently, Angola unveiled a 25-year master plan for gas development, highlighting more than 40 discovered gas fields and an additional 56 trillion cubic feet of prospective resources. ?? ??Weekly LNG Insight Spotlight: It's encouraging to see progress on the $11.6B construction site.?ExxonMobil anticipates a roughly six-month delay for the Golden Pass LNG project.?The first liquefaction train is expected to come online in late 2025, though it may be pushed to early 2026. Following a bankruptcy court’s approval of a settlement agreement in May with the lead EPC contractor, Zachry Holdings, ExxonMobil and its partner in the project, QatarEnergy, are accelerating construction efforts. The court decision allows for the resumption of the work under a three-year extension approval request authorized by FERC in October. QatarEnergy, holding a 70 percent stake in the three-train Golden Pass LNG project, which has a capacity exceeding 18 mtpa, will offtake 70 percent of the output, while ExxonMobil holds the remaining 30 percent share. ??
