Ogden Peak was founded by a RN on a mission to improve care delivery, reduce the stress of leadership, and strategize time to maximize profits. The company brings 10+ years of hands-on healthcare experience, customer service experience, and operational leadership experience to each client interaction. Our coaches and consultants are passionate about improving team morale and patient outcomes through evidence-based solutions focusing on enhanced communication, LEAN strategy, and involving frontline staff in desired changes. Our founder, Adrianna Munoz MSN RN CNL, has championed projects for years to improve patient satisfaction scores in busy inner-city ERs, standardized scheduling for surgical centers, and improved team morale as evidenced by staff satisfaction metrics.     I don't know anyone who enjoys workplace conflict. Who likes feeing uncomfortable or at odds around peers, leaders, employees, and clients? The thing is > You don't have to like it, but there is a responsibility for leaders to address it. Sticking your head in the sand rarely works- believe me, I've tried this and failed several times. I'm not saying navigating conflict is particularly enjoyable, but the result of a courageous conversation is ALWAYS worth it.     Is "no" a word you use enough??? Yesterday I hosted a very fun and engaging event with Diamond Garcia titled Boundaries & Bubbly. And holy smokes did the participants come ready to have some fun! -We ran through guided networking to put the fun into meeting new people (and make it less awkward!) -We went through group coaching on BOUNDARIES- aka, what's something you want to start saying "no" to so you can put yourself first?     Does your organization have a "Lean Team"? A Lean Team oversees projects and process improvement initiatives to minimize waste and achieve project goals efficiently. They are a high functioning teams that puts project goals at the forefront to get results. The tricky thing that all teams encounter, not just Lean Teams, is resistance to change. This is unfortunately the spot where many initiatives fail. Planning for resistance, not treating it as an unexpected nuisance, is IMPERATIVE. 1. Predict major obstacles with key stakeholders 2. Plan for consistent communication amongst change sponsors and frontline managers 3. Engage with people voicing concerns and implement reasonable ideas 4. Share what success looks like 5. Share why change is the ONLY option Lean teams, project managers and process improvement professionals certainly champion work, but organizational leadership are needed to make changes 'stick.'
