This weekend I spent a bit of time building the foundations of a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) product for Unofficial. Large language models alone are not enough to perform search. LLMs can hallucinate when not grounded in evidence or expert analysis. But given trusted and highly structured data, they can excel even the best search algorithms from the recent past. My team is building the discovery engine for web3 in the same way Google built the search engine for Web 2.0.
