The story of its founding by 12 determined men set the stage for the growth and success of one of the country’s premier fraternal organizations. The history of the Fraternity reflects the times, through great wars and profound cultural shifts. Throughout the decades, the men of Sigma Phi Epsilon have practiced their values and embraced the stated desire of the Founders, “This Fraternity will be different.”

This past weekend, I was fortunate to travel with 32 of my fraternity brothers from Sigma Phi Epsilon (Official) MO Alpha to St. Louis to attend the two-day SigEp "Life After College" event focused on professional development of brothers. The event allowed my chapter brothers and I to network with distinguished alumni who's experience had me excited for my professional future, and brothers from around the nation and abroad who's academic drive had me motivated to return to the classroom. On Friday night, I had my resume and LinkedIn reviewed, partook in a mock interview, and attended the opening session. Throughout Saturday, I attended sessions from topics on anything from asset management to inclusion practices to the impressive etiquette lunch, which taught my brothers and I how to properly act and eat in business and formal settings. I look forward to taking the insights I developed and putting them into practice on Mizzou's campus and later in my professional career. "It's a great day to be a SigEp!" #buildingbalancedmen

Earlier this month, I had the privilege of collaborating with Sigma Phi Epsilon (Official) and GLOBE on their exciting 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament and 3-Point Shooting Contest! ?????? The event was a huge success, drawing over 150 students, faculty, staff, and friends to support two fantastic causes: SigEp's Balanced Leader Scholarship and GLOBE's Microloan Program. This year, the endowed scholarship was awarded to Marcus Hardy, a rising St John's junior—who also captured some of the incredible photos below! ?? This was my first time running an auction using Zeffy ?? (P.S. I absolutely loved it).
