EU-REST final report published! After 24 months of dedicated research, the EU Radiation, Education, Staffing & Training (#EUREST) study has officially concluded! This project assessed workforce availability, education, and training needs to ensure the quality and safety of medical applications involving ionizing radiation. What’s in the final report? ? We’re excited to share that the World Health Organization Executive Board recently adopted the World Health Assembly (WHA) resolution on Strengthening Medical Imaging Capacity! ?? ?? What’s next? The resolution will be discussed at #WHA78 in Geneva (May 19–27, 2025) for final approval. If adopted, this will be a major step forward in tackling non-communicable diseases (NCDs)—especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs)—by expanding access to advanced medical imaging and nuclear medicine. ??
