I'm thrilled to share that both of our proposals have been awarded funding by Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI) in the Cybersecurity for AI and AI for Cybersecurity call! A sincere thank you to the CCI team for their trust and support. These two new grants bring my total to 6 grants in 2024, amounting to nearly $850,000 in funding. These accomplishments wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of my mentors, colleagues, and students. A special thank you to Prof. Daniel Takabi for his invaluable guidance and mentorship throughout my journey. I’m also deeply grateful for the outstanding mentors and institutions that have shaped my path over the past three years since I left Iran. I was fortunate to begin my journey at Imperial College London, where I had the privilege of working with Prof. Emil Lupu. His mentorship played a pivotal role in shaping my career and encouraging me to pursue my dream of working at top universities. A heartfelt thank you to Prof. Lupu for his continued kindness and unwavering support. The University of North Dakota played a pivotal role as my first experience in the US, where I found amazing friends and a supportive community. Finally, I am proud to be a part of the Old Dominion University family, where I’ve reached a significant milestone in my career, thriving in a professional and welcoming environment that has allowed me to further develop my skills and grow. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. I’m excited to continue advancing research at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, and I look forward to collaborating with the amazing teams involved in these projects.

Students from ODU School of Cybersecurity completed the fall 2024 COVA CCI Cyber Clinic which provides pro bono Cybersecurity-as-a-Service to small businesses, non-profits, local government offices/agencies/boards, and other organizations using selected students to assess the organization’s cybersecurity preparedness and risk posture.?This semester the program supported three small businesses and one city municipality.
