Last week, ODG Director of Product Management, Pamela Bloom-Pugliese, RN, BSN, presented with industry thought leaders, Dr. Michael Lacroix from The Hartford, and Dr. Nikki Wilson, PharmD/MBA, from Enlyte, at the National Workers' Compensation and Disability Conference. This presentation analyzed the trends and impacts identified from over 20 million claims collected by ODG and explored how comorbidities can influence risk analytics, claim durations, and costs. The experts also evaluated how prescriptions for chronic pain have changed since the recognition of the national opioid epidemic. #workerscompensation #disability #claimsmanagement

The Ohio BWC (official), ODG by MCG, and our partners at IntegerHealth Technologies?have been recognized by?PropertyCasualty360?as 2024 Insurance Luminaries in the Claims #Innovation category. The Ohio Bureau of #WorkersCompensation developed a cutting-edge Enhanced Care Program (ECP) to treat injured workers. The ECP achieved improved outcomes including a 30% faster return to work rate (229 days vs. 329 days) and injured workers enrolled in the ECP saw a #healthcare provider five days sooner than their non-program cohorts.
