With decades of experience in renewable energy development, project finance, and investment banking, he brings an unparalleled depth of expertise to our team. ? Marks, a UT Austin graduate, has been a key figure in the clean energy sector for several decades as both a power developer and entrepreneur. In 1999, he founded Tierra Energy, a wind development firm, where he secured a strategic financial partnership with a private equity fund to drive growth. In 2007, Duke Energy acquired Tierra Energy, and following the acquisition, Marks took on senior leadership roles at Duke Energy, where he was instrumental in expanding Duke's renewable business. ? Subsequently, Marks served as Senior Advisor to Marathon Capital's investment banking division for half a decade. With deep expertise in project development, M&A, and structured finance, he has led the deployment of capital across thousands of megawatts of wind and solar assets, playing a pivotal role in accelerating the #energytransition. ? At Odette Capital, he will provide strategic insights, transaction advisory, and market intelligence to support our mission of advancing renewable power and infrastructure investments. His experience in structuring deals, navigating regulatory landscapes, and fostering industry partnerships will be instrumental as we continue to scale and innovate. ?
